This Week in Peaks and Valleys
Started a New Fitness Routine
With only a little over a year until the wedding, it’s time to get in shape. This new-found interest in working out may also have a little to do with the fact that I finally went through some old clothes and not a single pair of pants fits. That’s what happens when you like pasta.
On Tuesday we went out for pizza and drinks and then did a little shopping! It felt so nice to get out of the house and go out for dinner. Sometimes we definitely get into a rut on weeknights. I blame Netflix.
Booked Flights to Charlotte for a Weekend Getaway
I have Monday off so I decided we should find the cheapest place to fly and have a mini-vacation! I cannot wait. I’ve never been to Charlotte but they have a BYO comedy bus so how bad can it be!
Ugly-Cried Reading a Book
This is a peak because the book was soooo good that I cried the second time I read it. Also, an animal died and no matter how many times Andy tells me it’s just a book, I end up bawling my eyes out. At least it didn’t happen on a plane with strangers staring this time. Anyways, if you want a great summer read, grab Coast Road by Barbara Delinsky. I also highly recommend Not My Daughter by her as well.
One Year Anniversary of My Parents House Fire
A year ago this week my parents house caught on fire and they lost almost everything. It is really sad to look back on that day but I’m also incredibly thankful that my parents and my brother were not hurt.
Lack of a Nordstrom Credit Card
I know, I know, how can you follow up a house fire with sadness over not having a credit card. This card is a big deal my friends. I have to wait a whole 8 extra days while everyone else with this card can shop the Anniversary Sale first. Priorities people.
